A-Maize-ing Wedding

Sir Andrew back to tell you all about one of the most unusual weddings I have ever been a part of...! Thursday afternoon, another DJ and I flew out to Logan’s Port, Indiana to perform for 250 of Amy and Travis’s closest friends and family. Amy’s parents have quite a bit of land on which they grow some of the best Sweet Ambrosia corn I have ever tasted (and that’s a lot coming from a Jersey boy who loves his Jersey White corn)!

The night before the wedding we were invited to the rehearsal dinner which took place at a local park that boasts one of only 2 handmade wooden carousels still in operation in the U.S. After dinner and the party ended, the bride’s father’s revved up a margarita blender made from an old motorcycle engine and throttle in his workshop (a barn with a restored 1957 Chevy Bel Air, tractors, and corn as far as the eye could see)! But I digress. The wedding was the next night and we had an absolute blast!

What started out as a beautiful ceremony and cocktail hour at 4:30pm ended with a packed dance floor and people shouting for more at 12:30am. We played 8 hours of music and they still couldn’t get enough! Thank you to everyone in Logan’s Port and to Nick Ribordy for including us in this great night! I just wish we could have played until 1:00am!
