View Erika Litman's recent mention of Andy Kushner's The Wedding Biz!
It's often said that DC doesn't attract creative professionals.
But you don't have to look much further than the uniquely talented professionals working in the local wedding industry to find some of the region's most profoundly creative movers and shakers.
Their ingenuity and passion for creating incredible experiences (not just events) is why I love being a part of DC's ever-changing wedding community.
Take Andy Kushner, for one. The founding of Andy Kushner Entertainment Design - The Wedding Biz, to chat with prominent wedding pros such as Sylvia Weinstock (aka the "Queen of Cakes") and world-class wedding designer and planner David Beahm. The broadcasts are funny, honest and a must-listen for all local brides and grooms.
I'm equally excited about the recent reopening of Rizik's. The legendary downtown bridal and gown boutique launched in April after a beautiful top-to-bottom renovation of its interiors, which dovetailed with the shop welcoming some fabulous new bridal collections (many of which, including Christian Siriano, are exclusive to DC) onto its tony racks.
I look forward to toasting both companies, along with so many other brilliant players in the local wedding industry, at a special event celebrating our second issue of Modern Luxury Weddings Washington later this month at the Four Seasons Hotel.
In the meantime, I hope this issue leaves you equally impressed with the creative geniuses shaping DC's wedding scene - and eager to connect with the local pros ready to make your wedding day a dream come true!
